This memorandum is made between the Federation of Japan Amateur Orchestras(here in after referred to as JAO)and Bund Deutscher-Liebhaberorchester e.V.(here in after referred to as DLO)to implement the following friendship program through amateur orchestral activities so as to enhance peaceful and friendly relationship between Japan and Germany, and to promote intercultural communication among all the people who love music in both countries.
This program aims for promoting mutual understanding between members of JAO and BDLO,contributing to improve musical skills,cultivating friendship,sharing joy of music,and further development of both federtions.Both federations long for the realization of a good partnership.
The content of the program is as follows:
1 Trade of information(on a regular basis)
Both parties shall trade information annually on each organization,plans of activities, operation reports,and the like written in English on a regular basis.
2 Trade of materials(from time to time)
Both parties shall trade the respective materials such as bulletins, publications, musical scores,tapes,CDs,VTRs,and the like from time to time.The bulletin shall have an English resume attached thereto.
3 lnterchange of orchestral members through musical events
Both parties shall promote interchange of orchestral members through musical events hosted by a party either JAO or BDLO.Both parties shall appoint their respective representatives for taking charge of receiving Isending orchestral members.
A host party either JAO of BDLO shall bear overhead expenses in its home country including entry and board accommodation of members of the other visiting barty.
4 Information and coordination services
Both parties shall be responsible for supplying information esch other on their member orchestras and scheduled concerts,and promoting member orchestras to affiliate one another at any need.
The host orchestra shall bear overhead expenses including entry and board accommodation of members of the relevant orchestras.
5 Information on concert tour of the member orchestras
A party either JAO of BDLO shall provide the other party with information on the concert tour of its member orchestra scheduled in a home country of the other party(Germany or Japan).
The amateur orchestra of a party scheduled to visit the country of the opposite party shallbe fully responsible for its tour.
6 Other communication activities
Both parties shall promote every possible communication activity for developing their mutually beneficial relationship with approvals of chairpersons of both parties.
7 Board meeting and general assembly
Chairpersons of both parties shall individually report on annual activities of this programin board meeting and general assembly, respectively.
8 Amendment of the program
Both parties shall be entitled to amend the program in time of necessity with approvals of boards of both parties.Chairpersons of both parties shall be responsible for the amendment.
